I'm back!
Life has been short on free time since the beginning of this year,
but that doesn't mean I don't have lots of fun moments to share.
This was on the first morning of school this year. . .
My 3 big ones - all so proud to start their new grades.
Pamela and Sihle started grade 2, and Mario started grade 4.

Musa started grade 0 (Kindergarten) and Nicholas is still in the regular day-care section
On Christmas holidays and weekends, the kids could often be found in the pool
They are all such fish!
Jumping comes in every shape and form. . .
Nicholas will enjoy the first hour or so of swimming,
and then he's happy to just observe all the crazy
I love Musa's dreads. . .they give him such character!
When my kids aren't swimming they can often be found doing crafts of one kind or another. . .
Wish I had gotten the finished products here - they had some beauties!
A dear friend, Sonia - gave my boys skate boards for Christmas.
They can be seen doing the most interesting and diverse poses on them.
This is one of my favourite - close to the ground, and safe for the little heads!
Another favourite means of travelling. . .
Nicholas and friends during his daily toilet time.
Frozen is the current favourite watch while he is on. . .
My kids know every song and every word!
We have a delightful park not far from where we live.
The tractor is always a favourite. . .
As are the swings. . .
We're the King/Queen of the world!
How many kids can one teeter-totter hold?
Looks like all the fun has tired a few of them out :)
All the kids chose a favourite dessert to make with Mommy.
This was Sihle's and was supposed to be a berry trifle, but it didn't turn out quite right.
There were supposed to be layers of cooked berries, crumbed cookies, marscapone cheese and cream mix, and then fresh berries. . .that was the plan.
It said to combine cheese and cream and beat until light and fluffy. . .
only within about 15 seconds of beating - it turned into butter.
So, I had nice tasty sweet butter (added icing sugar and lemon zest), but did not have cream for that layers of the trifle. . .
So I'll admit - I cheated, and went to the shops for some ready made custard, and used that instead - AND. . .
the finished trifle was super tasty!
How can any dessert with so many berries not be amazingly delicious!?
Nicholas and Musa even had their own bowls of dessert,
minus the bits they were allergic to. . .
One place we spend lots of our extra time (did I say EXTRA time?)
is TLC
My kids are so good with all the babies,
and all have a few favourite babies who they can't wait to go see for the day
